Vice Chancellor's Message
Bismillahir Rahmnir Rahim
(In the name of Allah the most Merciful and most Beneficent)
First and foremost praise is to ALLAH, the Almighty, the greatest of all, and on whom ultimately we depend for sustenance and guidance. I would like to thank Almighty Allah for giving me the opportunity, determination and strength to take this responsibility.
I consider it a great honour and privilege to be a part of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) family as its Vice-Chancellor, which is the only subsidiary organ of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) engaged in the noble task of educating and training the youths of the Ummah.
It is my pleasure to welcome prospective students, alumni of IUT, and the authorities of different member states wishing to nominate candidates for admission into the University to this website.
The beautiful and scenic campus of the IUT offers a unique environment where students coming from different regions of the Arab, African and Asian member states of OIC join together to pursue education in different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in an ambience of Islamic spirit and values.
In the globalized world along with the emergence of knowledge-based society, the role of higher education is ever more important for the development of the required human resources. IUT is committed to stepping up its efforts to creating a greater momentum to its academic programmes and research activities in order to fulfill the mandated objectives of the university.
Keeping the demands of the digital era in mind, under our short term plan, we have started the process of reorienting our programmes to meet the requirements of different accreditation bodies. To achieve this, IUT will implement outcome-based education, modernize its curriculum, strengthen industry-academia linkages, organizing regular professional lecture series and raise the international character of the University.
Under our medium and long term plan, we will be taking tangible steps to improve the international ranking of the University, create a research culture, increase research funding, modernize laboratories and workshops, collaborate with globally reputed seats of higher learning, diversify the sources of funding and galvanize the activities of IUT alumni association, among others.
As the Vice Chancellor, I am confident that efforts to excel in the field of higher education and the inculcation of moral values in the students in our campus will continue in the future with a greater zeal. We, as a team at IUT, strive to prepare our students to become better citizens of the member states irrespective of their cultural and financial background.
I take this opportunity to invite students, alumni, guardians, public representatives and government officials, research institutes, academic institutions as well as entrepreneurs and representatives of diplomatic missions to visit our campus and give their suggestions to help us raise the performance of the University for the benefits of its stakeholders.
